Thoughts on Trees

We never look at a tree and think it’s not quite perfect, because there’s not ‘one way’ a tree should look.. yet we hold these expectations of ourselves: we judge our bodies, our lives and other people based on a rigid idea of how we think we ‘should’ be.
What if we loved ourselves like we love trees? Not because our limbs are a particular shape or our trunks are a certain width or our leaves are the right shade of colour - but just because we exist and because that’s a miracle in and of itself.
